My boyfriend and I went to Mt. Dora, FL today to go treasure hunting at all the antique shops.
In this one particular antique mall, I spotted an old baby doll in a white nightgown. I thought to myself, "That nightgown looks like Kirsten's. I wonder...", and holy cow- "Pleasant Company 1996" on the tag: it's Kirsten's nightgown all right! Yay!
I was originally planning not to keep the doll since I only wanted the nightgown (a 1969 Horseman baby that was $10), but I'm already starting to get attatched to her- drat it! If I name her, I don't think there will be any going back.
I later found a well-worn 1st edition copy of _Samantha Learns a Lesson_ at a used book store for $3. I also found _Meet Molly_ and the AG club handbook, plus a collection of AG Magazine paperdolls, but since I already have all those but the Molly book, I only came home with Samantha's.

Sweeeet! Congrats on your find. I am going yard sale-ing this weekend, hopefully I'll come up with something, too. It's been terrible here in GA the past few months; I haven't found a single thing!

How did you like Mt. Dora? I started to ask the other day when you mentioned hitting the antique mall if that was where you were going. We certainly enjoyed our day there. I'm glad you found some dollie items too. Post a pic of your new doll if you can.

Oh, we had a great time! We didn't do anything but pop in and out of shops, but what a darling place. We will definately be back. I loved the little doll shop.
I'll have pics up in a bit.

Where is Mt. Dora in Florida. My Mom lives in Clearwater and my brother lives in Naples. Is it anywhere around either of them?

Mt. Dora is north passed Orlando. You take I-4 to around exit 101 East. There's another town not far from it called Sanford which we plan to explore next time we go out that way.
Oh, and here's a picture of my sweet little baby doll.

Awww...
She looks so cute.
Maybe when I go to Florida next, I will drag my DH to do some exploring.

That doll has some charm (I actually like its hair messy, but I'm weird ). Congrats on the whole find!
